A month ago I completed my Cavern Diving Course. It has opened up an entirely new world of diving, one that I hope to venture further into.
I've been living and working in Grand Bahama for the past 6 months. The company I'm working for is called UNEXSO (Underwater Explorers Society). They offer an incredibly diverse array of diving from DSD's to IDC's. The Shark dive and Dolphin dive are truly incredible and still take my breath away every dive.
You may have recently heard that Grand Bahama was hit by a Category 4 Hurricane named Matthew. It was a truly crazy storm but we are back open for business and the diving is beautiful. The photo below was taken during a UNEXSO Shark Dive. Classroom and pool day today. Presentations yesterday went far better than expected! In the pool this afternoon which is going to be stressfulllllll. Loving every second though and the group I'm with are fantastic. The pool is rather cold. A 2mm long suit is not ideal! Today has been the first day of my IDC with Rainbow Reef Divers in Key Largo, Florida. Tough first day. All pool skills done without a hitch and classes going strong. The physics behind diving is complicated! Cannot wait to keep going and start the lesson plans. Need to get back in the ocean.4 months without seeing a coral has been too long! 'When you look out over the water towards the horizon... The ocean is a million times larger than what you can see' Very excited to be beginning my PADI IDC in Florida Keys in January with Rainbow Divers. Now to get down and dirty with all the theory! |
